'The Office' Leaving Netflix in 2021 With a Twist
NBC announced its decision to remove all nine seasons of the beloved NBC sitcom, which is named one of the best TV shows, from the streaming giant in a statement on Tuesday.

AceShowbiz - After being kept around for so long, "The Office" is set to be removed from Netflix in 2021. However, fans of the popular NBC sitcom shouldn't be worried since the series will be moving to NBC's upcoming streaming service.
The Peacock network announced its decision to remove all nine seasons of the beloved NBC sitcom from the streaming giant in a statement on Tuesday, June 25. " 'The Office' has become a staple of pop-culture and is a rare gem whose relevance continues to grow at a time when fans have more entertainment choices than ever before," said Bonnie Hammer, Chairman of NBCUniversal Direct-to-Consumer and Digital Enterprises. "We can't wait to welcome the gang from Dunder Mifflin to NBCUniversal's new streaming service."
" 'The Office' is one of our most prized series, and we are thrilled it has found an exciting new home where generation after generation will continue to discover and rediscover Michael Scott’s most cringe-worthy moments, Jim and Pam's will-they-or-won't-they, and the incredible quirky ensemble that makes each episode a masterclass in comedy," Pearlena Igbokwe, president of Universal Television, added.
Netflix also released a statement following the news. "We're sad that NBC has decided to take The Office back for its own streaming platform -- but members can binge watch the show to their hearts' content ad-free on Netflix until January 2021," so the official Twitter account of the streaming service wrote.
"The Office" premiered in 2015 and starred Steve Carell, Ed Helms, John Krasinski, Mindy Kaling, Ellie Kemper, B.J. Novak, Craig Robinson and Mike Schur. Ben Silverman, Greg Daniels executive produced the show, which is named one of the best shows on TV by dozens of media outlets, alongside Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant, Howard Klein, Paul Lieberstein, Brent Forrester and Dan Sterling.
